Default Removing Hardtop Headliner

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I'm thinking people here might have more experience with this than in S2000 Talk:

A local paintless dent removal guy is cutting me a deal on some dings on my HT if I can pull the headliner out myself. From an older thread I tried to resurrect without any luck, it sounds like the plastic panels on the side just pop off, but what about the top vinyl (is it vinyl?) piece? Is that glued in or can that be popped off and put back on? Do both the upper and rear latches need to be removed (and can normal tools do this?)?

Any input is appreciated. Mods feel free to move this if it needs to be somewhere else, I just figured this forum would have more readers with gutted S2000's.

It is held in place with clips. the proper tool makes them easy to remove. it iwas a PIA to do, but I pulled it without damaging it. So it can be done.

Do the plastic panels weigh anything? I'd imagine most of the weight of the top is the glass, but they are unnecessary weight regardless of how little.

^^ Weight loss is in ounces, not in pounds

Really though, I doubt they do, but the actual headliner might and to take that off, I'm guessing the plastic panels need to come off too.
