Steve, I'm sure you can especially if you're using helpers

I actually had an interesting idea that I'd like to try playing with if I can get my hands on a junk OEM top hat. It might let me use the GC top with the lower boss completely milled down and have the spring contained from the outside instead of inside. Now just need to find a junk OEM top.

And I am using helper. I do think I might ultimately need to find a thinner lower stack height helper though. Only for the rears though. Right now with the helper and 6" springs I have the rear lower perches as low as they can go (maybe 1 or 2 more turns) and the rear is still a tad above 13" ride height.

That would work, machine top hat flat and then have the adapter capture the outer edge of the top hat and outer edge of the spring.

^You got it! I think if it all worked out you could possibly gain a few mm more travel than the OEM tops and you'd gain a spherical bearing center instead of rubber bushing. Should be a tad lighter as well. Another added benefit of that style even if it doesn't actually add any more travel is the shock shaft now sits higher in the body so you reduce the chance of it bottoming out internally (not saying it's going to be in theory you've definitely reduced that likelihood).

You should also be able to run a longer bumpstop which I like and calculate and buy the correct bumpstop so that at block height it's only a couple mm long enough so the top hat just barely doesn't bottom out on the shock body.

It might perform but man would that look terrible. The big chunky sidewalls make the car look so good. 265/35/17 Might be ok though.

I still need to get an OEM top hat I can play with but using some other parts I can tell that part of my concern about what I wanted to try isn't a concern any longer and it might actually work.

**EDIT: I looked online and the part I need is less than $20. I thought it was going to be one of those overpriced OEM parts. I'll be contacting my buddy at Honda to order me one to play with.
