Default Runoffs Result

Well it's short story because I got taken out on lap 5.

The first lap was complete mayhem. Lots of cars hitting each other, going off track, car bodywork on track. Weaving in and out of the carnage, I managed to move up 10 spots on the first lap. A few laps later, just when things were finally starting to settle out..... a spinning Firebird hits me going into 6. In car caught it but I've got to digitize it and then I'll post it. Those who saw the incident said the Firebird tried to pass Tony Swan, who was in the S2000 right behind me, to the inside of the kink and lost it in the grass and proceeded to go 4 wheels though the grass all the way down to the entry of T6 where he hit me. His car was already spinning when it hit me so it was a bit of glancing blow that flattened the door & fender. It sent me into the gravel trap but I just floored it and drove through. However once I got back on the track, there were some really bad vibes (even at 60mph) that increased with speed so I just pulled into the pits/paddock.

Hopefully I'll have video soon.

Sorry to hear you were taken out , and sounds like you were doing really well too. This racing stuff can be frustrating and costly.

Tough break I guess the driver of the Firebird thought it was Nascar instead of SCCA

Sorry about your luck Jeremy. That race was pretty crazy at the beginning and never slowed down any.

I also have the original size photos and a few others on my site. I will try to get some more of them up this week.

Sorry to hear about the contact Jeremy. I'll post pics as soon as I load them.
T2 always seems to have tons of traffic. This just gives me another reason to hate Fireturds!
take care

We'll start pulling off the door & fender this week to see what (if anything) is damaged underneath. Once we pull the gravel out of the tires we'll see if that takes car of the vibration. One of my team mates is supposed to be using it at the NASA Putnam event in 2 weeks so hopefully it's a quick fix.
