10 positions on the first lap is pretty damn good, Jeremy. Good job, but rotten luck.

That stinks. All that work and entrance fee's, etc.... to drive 5 laps! what was your final best lap? I assume you are on hoosiers?

Last year someone in a 350Z (a big named guy, but i can't remember it) purposely punted a Neon into the tires towards the end...... shit like that should get them banned for life.... a bunch of big additudes out there!

Of course that other neon completely flipped the CTS into the tires earlier in the same race.

Who won? How did Swan do in the end?

yeah that was crazy when the ctsv rolled

all that work does suck when you dnf at the runoffs. The first year my friend qualified in a SRF I was in the pits and on the first lap he got punted in 7. That was the year it was about 35 degrees and sleeting at the start. So all the cars came around but us. The next thing we saw was my buddy running across the infield! Sucks...part of the game though

Jeremy, that's a real shame. To often drivers at the Runoffs are pushing too hard. Since I didn't make it there this year, I will be looking for it on tv in the months to come.

Dan, those are outstanding photos. Can ask what make/model camera you use?

No Hoosiers here. Were the Kumho stickers not big enough for you?

TC Kline is the one that punted the Neon. It was payback for an earlier move by the Neon.

Chuck Hemmingson won in an STi, and Kris Skavnes (former S2k pilot) came in second in his STi, Don Knowles was 3rd in a Firebird. BTW, I hear the STi's (3 of them, I think) are for sale as they are switching to the new model.

Should have video soon, just waiting for the email.

The camera is nothing too special. It is a Fuji Finepix S5100. The big thing I like about the camera is the 10x optical zoom. This lets you zoom in close enough to get some decent shots.

I just dropped my Fuji 2600Z p&s camera and decided to upgrade. My main requirements are facial shots, pet shots, and high speed car racing shots.

I really liked everything I've read on the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT; except it's more bulk and weight than I'd like. I'd prefer something size/weight like the Canon Powershot S2 IS, but it seemed to have a lot of negative reviews.

The S5100 appears to be a great 'track' camera; at a great price (a quick check showed a couple sites at about $200, although list was $400)! I'll have to try one on for size. I know everyone thinks you have to have higher MP's as they keep going up but unless one prints 8x10's & higher, I can't see why.

http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP....cybershot_dscH1

big link

this is the camera I have: Sony DSCH1

I took all of my runoffs shots with it..which will appear sometime real soon. The only problem I had with it was it focusing on the fence instead of the cars when shooting through a fence. I recommend this camera to anyone. It also has great video.

Back on topic... Jeremy, the car looked really good and it is a shame that you got taken out so early.

Have you dug into the damage yet? I walked over by your paddock when you were working on pulling the fender out and it didn't look too bad. Hopefully there is nothing too bad.
