broken axles and rear are more expensive that a lil more tire wear and brake wear.

I am always surprised people use S2000s to drag race. Not only is it a waste of the cars engineering, it is not a thrill in any shape or form.

Each to their own, but if drag racing is your preference, you are in the wrong car.

Eh, I feel like if the rear differential wasn't made of toothpicks and bubble gum then the whole "wrong car for drag racing" thing would be out the window. It's got all the makings of a decent drag racing platform when you think about it:

- RWD
- lightweight
- easy to make moderate power on the stock motor with boost
- excellent chassis/suspension

Don't get me wrong, there are much better choices for drag racing. But the S2000 can do it just fine. I wish Honda had over-engineered the entire drivetrain the way they did the rest of the car.

If you really want to drag race your S2000, just call the drag strip you're going to and ask them what safety equipment you'll need--- that way you'll know.

If you don't need a cage, i wouldn't put one in til you race a few times and you're sure you like it in your S2k....
