Are you sure they were goodyear slicks? Goodyear does make some DOT-R tires.

Hey Alex,

we chatted briefly during staging before the first time attack run (the only one I ran, I was in the blue Datsun 260Z).

Per the rules: Use of DOT Legal tires with UTQG tread wear less than 50 permitted for Unlimited Class. I guess that means you had to be on DOT tires to be elligible at all for any class!
Hi Demon,

Too bad we didn't get to chat. I got a picture of your car! Its not the best but I hope you like it.

Again.. the photographer is Dennis Chang. He was nice enough to let me use the photos.

Looks good to me Thanks!

I'm actually looking to trade for an S2000 these days so I can get into more class-specific stuff as this rogue vehicle I've built isn't actually legal for many classes

Sure No Problem.

Your car remind me of "wangan midnight"...

I just wanted to say congrats to maxrev (Rob?) for the win in Modified RWD. I was driving the 2nd place Nissan 240SX. That was a very fun event with lots of good drivers and fast cars, definitely a level higher than what I'm used to running.

I had problems all day and only got 4-5 practice laps with the car running right, but in the last time trial that was just about everything I had. Honestly though the last time attack session felt really really good, it just wasn't enough obviously.
Even with more practice I don't think I could have picked up over a second.

I did a long write up on the event as well, which contains some drama in Modified RWD you might not have known about!

Funny that you had so many problems with the Mustang guy - he was actually very helpful to me and lent me some tools which allowed me to clean my fuel filter and get back on track.

I must have finished literally a hair behind your 240SX (I think I spoke to you for a while on Sunday although you and your friend seemed a little busy doing some rewiring at the time). Maybe one day I will get some new tires and try and compete with you and maxrev's car

Congrats to both of you, can't wait to do it again!

That was me who was messing with the wiring. Sorry I wasn't very social, I had a lot going on at the moment! It'll be interesting to see the published times. Good job btw, your car looks sweet! I wish I had more time at the event to check stuff out, rather than diagnose problems! oh well, next time!.

Found a mega picture thread..
