There aren't any. There are some that work for both pretty well, but all the track pads dust and squeek too much to be called "good" road pads, while all the road pads are OK for light track sessions but rapidly fail when the car is pushed closer to the limit.

The best option is to get good at switching brake pads. With some practice it goes quickly.
I tend to agree; there are pads that function well, i.e. stop well and come up to temperature quickly, on the street and hold up OK to track use as long as you can live with the noise compromise. Like anything, it helps to know what your goals are before making a recommendation.

Axxis Ultimate pads are street biased but can take a few track sessions without giving up the ghost and don't make too many offensive noises.

Cobalt GT-Sports are track biased pads that can definitely hold up to the abuse of auto-x, canyone and track use but will make noise on the street.

Both will dust more than OEMs but the dust comes off easily and won't turn into cement.

If something doesn't improve laptimes, it's just unnecessary mass.
I have said it before and I will say it again... There is more to life than the fastest lap time, there is this thing that I'm all about, and it is mass and it does not lower my lap times, it is a rollbar for safety.

I think Richard and the rest of us would agree on the safety issue Doug. I know Richard does since he ripped all that crap out of his car to install the rollbar

That's cool, because I'm 3,000+ miles away, all I could see was the word "unnecessary"...

Trivia question- how much alike and not alike are these to the old Repco Metalmasters?

Good question but the answer is they're not alike at all. Axxis still sells the old Repco Metal Master pads under the...surprise...Axxis Metal Master label. The Ultimates are a completely different formulation actually that uses Kevlar/ceramic.

The Axxis Ultimate pad has a Maximum Operating Temperature of 932

#1. Remove all that crap and don't buy anymore.
#2. There is no #2

Sorry. You asked in R&C so you're gonna get an R&C answer. Ask in S2000 Talk if you want a different answer.
