Erik,

I can get a killer discount on rental cars so the rental van will probably be $5 for everyone instead of $10. When we decide on the date to go, let's all try to get the cheapestprices for everything.

Err...4 months. Minus any advance payment period. But yeah, it's better than 1 month.
First this would be an exclusive class, we would be the only people there. As such we can tailor the program to meet whatever needs we have.
If we go as a group do we get to schedule our own 3 days, or does it have to fall on one of their pre-planned 3-day school dates?

My personal preference is to learn how to go fast on the track, I could care less about skid control and so forth.
Me too -- another vote for lots of track time and telemetry download sessions.

Let's keep this going and get serious about going. As soon as we can get 10 commitments it's on (9 actually).
I'm in for Nov or Dec. That's 8 more to go!

You know you might be suprised at how difficult everyone found the skid car and accedent avoidance practice was. These don't take too much time from the rest of the course, if you haven't done them before it's worth it

I've auto-xed for 1.5 years and tracked for 2 years, I can comfortably do a high speed lane change and control my car in a skid.

In particular those two courses hold a lot less interest to me. I don't mind the class room and the "ontrack" instruction as that is exactly what I would want from a school.

If I am the only one not wanting those type of classes than I am willing to do them w/ everyone else. But my preference is more racing school and less "street" school.

I can safely 4 wheel drift my car around Sears Point and and recover from a full 90* skid without taking my foot of the gas. I want as much go fast racing class as possible. I'll do those classes too if necessary. Max time in the Formula cars is what I want. I'm looking to slice 5s off my average lap times.

I'd be interested as well.

I agree with Krazik, however, that a more track oriented agenda would be preferable.

Of course I would also like to see a killer deal...

awesome, that's at least 10 positive maybes for December/late November! Since interest is so strong I think I can bargain for 2 classes, maybe another in March 03? I'm going to try and negotiate the best deal possible, toss in some advertising if that would help. I'd really like to see a price < $2000 for the 3 day program (wouldn't we all!)

Sorry, I didn't realize that everyone here was already gunning for a drive in F1. Not to bust your chops but if you can already drift and slide your car around a track I assume you will already know what the instructors are gioing to teach you about trail breaking and heel-toe, as well as the racing line. Are you guys just interested in driving a Formula Ford? That said if you could arrange for a continuation course (some kind of lapping program for those who have taken the course) I would be interested as well.

I'd love to get in on this but since I just spent all my spare change (plus a bunch) buying a formula car I haven't got any money to play with. I would love to practice in someone elses car.
