Thanks dude, it's good to see you share as well. Just for completeness sake is your gendron the solid or the hollow?

This is a great thread, I would love to see how the B stock cars are going to change for 2014 and beyond. I found a thread on the SCCA forums discussing the possible changes (I'm guessing they have since been finalized), and here's a copy of the most useful post:

"Assuming the BOD approves everything as its sent to them by the SEB....

In 2014 both Street and Stock will exist. Stock will be as it is currently in 2013 in terms of both allowances and classing. Street will be as proposed in terms of both allowances and classing. Stock and Street will NOT share the same appendix A listings. Street will run with "S" on the side of the car, Stock will run with "SR" on the side of the car. I.e. an RX-8 would use "CS" to run in C Street, and it would use "CSR" to run in C Stock. An S2000CR would run "BSR" to run in B Stock, and "AS" to run in A Street (where it has been moved to).

In 2015, all Stock classes except today's SS will be eliminated. SSR will continue on, as long as it continues to get at least 35 entrants at Nationals (open & ladies combined).

The "Street Prep with DOT-R's running in SP as limited prep" was eliminated from the proposal completely.

The latest published full version of Street Allowances are in the June FT (http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod...june.pdf), with the exhaust wording per the July FT (http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod...july.pdf). Please read it, but a super brief summary of the significant changes is that a +/- 1" on wheel diameter will be allowed and tires will be restricted to 140tw in 2014 and 200tw in 2015. The camber allowance, both swaybar allowance, and blanket TC/ESC defeat allowance were removed. Also, the restriction on disallowing remote reservoirs for shocks/struts was removed from the proposal.

The latest published full version of the Street Appendix A listings are in the August FT (http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod...-aug.pdf). There are a number of changes here from 2013 Stock listings (which, again, are going to be used unchanged for the STOCK classes in 2014), so I'm not going to try and summarize them.

Hope this helps. Remember, nothing is official until you see it in the BOD minutes as being approved. Expect to see a FT with the SEB forwarding a list of stuff to the BOD in our minutes, and then the BOD's response in their minutes in a following FT. You should see the BOD's decision toward the end of the year."

Linky

The reason I wanted to post was because the link to the rules in the first post no longer works, and this thread could be updated!

The draft 2014 rule book can be found here: http://www.scca.com/assets/2014%20So...%20reduced.pdf. When the final one comes out, I'll update the link in the original post. My life has gotten busier and my last S2000 was two cars ago, so no guarantee of if or when I'll do an update to reflect street tire prep. Someone else still running an S2000 may want to take on that task.
