SCCA T2 runoffs?
What's happening there?
I went to the scca site and saw that Skavnes' car didn't have a single qualifying time and will start at the back of the grid
. Anyone know what happened?
Also, when is the actual race? I thought it was supposed to be today...

Hello All-
Unfortunately the week came to an early end when the #90 King Motorsports T2 S2000 crashed heavily in practice on Monday. Kris was thankfully un-hurt but the car sustained massive damage. Due to the extent of the damages there was no way to properly fix it before the weekend.
Kris will be back next season with this car and will take another run at the Championship!

Damn. That's a shame. I was really looking forward to finally seeing an S2000 in the hunt. I couldn't get any info on why he wasn't able to qualify, so thanks for the update.The rest of the weekend had some great racing and great weather (in spite of a shity forecast). I had to cheer twice as loud for my friend Kent Prather in G-Prod. He took his fourth national championship in the white #26 MGA! When you can double the hp of the stock engine it shows. Sorry I didn't get to see both of my favorate cars kick ass. Tell Kris we feel his pain and look forward to next year.
I think Neal Sapp raced a S2000 in T2 2 years ago.... I thought he won 2 races (lime rock and somewhere else......)... but would not have much chance on "big straight" type courses... like Summit Point with the 3/4 mile straightaway.
I would imagine Kingmotorsports having more time and $ into their car than TC Kline did with the White S2000 that Neal was running 2 years ago.? 2 years ago there wasn't that much in the way of S2000 stuff (not that you can totally modify for T2 anyway, but...).

I think all you can modify for T2 is the shocks, cat back exhaust, and a drop in filter.. And the required hardtop of course. Unless some changes have been made in the rules that I dont know about.
If you could do a little more mod wise I would be very interested in running this class, but thats another topic
