scrubbing in A3S04s
How many runs do you think, hopefully from some experience, it takes to scrub in a set of A3S04s? Five or six 50 sec runs? Or do they seem to benefit from more, less? Not sure how many runs to put on a pair before taking them to nationals.
Thanks.
Thanks.
http://www.hoosiertire.com/rrtire.htm Then go to tire info.
Bottom line for me was a twenty minute run, turning lane to lane on a near deserted road by my house. I got the tire temperatures up to about 140 using this method. I then removed the tires from the car so that they could "cure" for a few days before I auto-cross them. I'll let you know the results after the local auto-cross this weekend.

I think scrubbing them in perfectly would involve going to Dothan this weekend.
I always did one hard corner in every direction and alot of hard braking to get them up to temp. I figured get the outter layer of sealer off the tire then get it up to temp removing as little rubber as possible. Then Bag it for 24 hours before you use it. Got me if thats the right way or not. But it seemed to work alright.

I thought the "magic number" was supposed to be 10 to 12 runs. Others have told me they're actually quicker at that point than run 6,7,8,.... Is that all wrong?
Mostly off topic, has it been proven that the A3SO3's ARE slower than the A3SO4's (S2K-concrete) ? Just wondering since a pal offered up some sale 03's. We did the 03's on the front and 04's on the rear and it felt great when they were fresh <oh so many months ago>.
