Mike, people are are also insanely fast on stock shocks.
I don't think SRC's would work with 678 lb springs without a revalve. They simply have way too much rebound even for the 900 lb springs.
I don't doubt that people can drive fast on them but they are by no means the best thing out there even when considering the price point.
Hmmm... never noticed an issue with fast rebound. We've been running rebound on setting 1... of 16. So faster rather than slower... seems just fine.

We'll see how things go at the Packwood Pro... but I can say this much, with the new spring rates we're running, ... and the VAFC, the car has literally got 1-1.5 seconds faster on a 60 second course.

On a side note.... not that it means anything... In Wendover, with the old alignment and 900lb springs front / 780lb Springs rear, I was the closest to Ken Motonishi on the left hand side of the course (was a clean time not scratch). No one else but Ken and I had times in the 41.***'s. No one else even had a scratch time in the 41's.

It was my right side I could never get down right... should have had second.... but once again, doesn't really mean anything. Anyway, the car, not me as a driver, is 1-1.5 seconds faster now.. should be interesting to see if I can prove it.

Anyway, I honestly do love the SRC's... and unlike the KW's, Tein will revalve for $145 a shock. Not bad. Also, the SRC's provide awesome weight savings. I haven't actually weighed them vs. the stock shocks, but I'd say at least 5lbs a corner. Could be more... I'm being conservative... they literally feel weightless compared to the stock shocks.

Also, as far as price point goes... I picked this set up for $1850. For that price, in my opinion, there is nothing better...

Once can't deny the weight savings though!
Front
Bilstein 11lbs 7.5oz
KW CS 11lbs 4.1oz
SRC's 9lbs 13.6oz

Rear
Bilstein PSS 11lbs 4.1oz
KW CS 9lbs 15.4oz
SRC 8lbs .6oz

Edit: Bilsteins have stock top hats and 2.75" coils. I'll weight them again with my current setup.

Nice. Did you ever weigh the stock shocks?

Not that it is apples to apples but I am going to have a set of custom built remote canister Bilstein PSS shocks for about $1,400 all told. I spoke with 2 builders this week and made the decision who will be getting my money as they are willing to build the shocks to my specified valving.

SRP for the win!

What canisters?

This will be my second build once I get the valving of the PSS's to my liking.

Hopefully this isn't considered a thread jack because it relates but:

Where are you all going to have your Koni's or other shocks revalved?

I had my koni's done at truechoice. I just told them my application and the spring rates I wanted... The valving has too much rebound and not enough compression, Im sure they would fix that if I sent them back in for another revalve. The customer service was top notch, the shocks are very well matched to each other, and they were very quick. Not sayin these guys are necessarily the best, but I was happy with their service.
