What are you expecting out of longevity on the newly revalved shocks Rob? Similar to factory KW?

I don't think the revalve will have an effect on the shock's longevity other than that I'll stick with the KWs longer now that they can handle the spring rate I wanted to run. The changes made to the rebound shim stack and blow-off valve shouldn't cause any ill effects.

It will make no difference.

I would like to get new springs next year like you Rob. TWF are you still planning on making a kit? I am about to deploy and will buy a kit, then pick up springs and rebuild them next spring .

Rob what springs did you go with?

I'm running 800 front, 700 rear Hyperco 2.5 x 6" springs. The re-valved KW V3s are working very well with them. I'm still fine tuning them for the local tracks but there's enough damping to handle the springs.

TWF will chime in but it doesn't look like there's enough interest in the kit (replace the KW proprietary seals with standard off-the-shelf parts) to make it worthwhile to manufacture them. I believe TWF is willing to re-valve V3 and ClubSport shocks though.

Yea, like Rob said. Not enough to make production run. I will revalve them if somebody wants and if seals needed replacing I may just make them 4 at the time.
I do have machines to make parts just not cnc to make runs of them.

Thanks TWF, that is good info to know. How much would you charge to revalve my KW's? How much did those springs run you?

I just started using my KW's and I used Rob's settings from his website and they are spot on right now for me at autocross! I can see me wanting something stiffer later on. Thanks for the knowledge on your settings Rob! It is nice to show up and just drive my car at autocross. I am hoping to get in a couple track days before I deploy, to see how the settings feel for a actual race track.

I was able to do some more testing of the TWF re-valved KW V3 shocks.

I'm running 800lb front springs, 700 rear, Comptech adjustable front sway bar (tried setting 1 and 3), stock 2001 rear sway bar, -3.3 front camber, 7 degrees of caster, -2.8 rear camber, 0.16" total rear toe, Megan Racing rear bump steer link and OS Giken clutch LSD.

I've been slowly stiffening up the compression and rebound settings and I'm currently at compression (bottom adjuster) setting of 2 sweeps (1/2 turn) out from full stiff front and rear; and rebound of 3 clicks (1/2 turn) out from full stiff front and rear.

I didn't notice any improvement when going from 2 1/2 sweeps to 2 sweeps of compression so I'm pretty sure I'm close to optimal for Summit Point Main but I am going to try 1 1/2 sweeps to be sure.

The car did become more stable when I went from 4 clicks out to 3 of rebound so I will try 2 clicks (first the front, then the rear). I've always run more rebound in the front so the optimal may be 2 front and 3 rear.

As expected I was able to soften the front sway bar from 4 or 5 (5 being stiffest) to 1 or 2 for balanced low speed handling after moving from my old 628lb/521 springs to 800/700.

The car is currently very stable, balanced and easy to slide but I'll have to look at lap times to confirm optimal settings. On the last outing the car did not see a single clean lap due to heavy traffic.

The bottom line is the re-valved V3s are working very well with the 800/700 springs.

Thanks for the feedback Rob! TWF, based on Robs feedback, would you have done anything differently if you received another set of KWs?
