Smoke from Transmission Tunnel
I was at a very tight track (lots of 2nd and 3rd gear) and I was out there for 30 minutes driving pretty hard. At the end of the run I could see a slight/light smoke coming from the passenger footwell area. Back then when I blew a motor at the track the smoke would come through the vents but this time it appears to be from the transmission tunnel area. It's hardly noticeable but under the sun I can see it coming out of that area.
My mechanic says it's normal as the heat from the tranny isn't exposed to the air much, especially in a low-speed track that only involves 2 gears. I don't get this doing 20 minute runs at a highspeed track.
So, do you guys get this? Or am I looking at a problem here? I do know I was being extra hard on the gearbox as the track requires quite a bit of shifting. I'm also using MTF from Honda, if that makes a difference...
Thanks!

What track requires you to run in second gear a lot? I want to know so I can avoid ever going there.
Sounds like you cooked your pads and you are seeing some smoke from them entering the passenger compartment.
Sorry the blowing engine was referring to my Prelude, and that this looked nothing like it. But I do notice steam/smoke wafting through into the cabin area from the passenger footwell...
It could be brakes as I was pretty hard on them too, but a moving car shouldn't allow smoke to come through the cabin.
It smells like nothing, which is why I suspect it's just heat.
And this is the track I went to, one of my older vids

Transmission or engine oil would smell, well like burnt oil.
Steam from the radiator would smell like nothing or slightly sweet.
