I use a web translator to try to understand Japanese websites so no guarantees. It looks to me that Honda claims the wheels to be stronger and lighter than stock and quotes 8kg or maybe less than (I

FWIW, someone posted awhile back that they weighed the stock wheel and tire combo at 25 lbs. If true, I couldn't see much of a weight advantage with the BBS wheels.

Looks like a marginal improvement over the stock ones. Someone on the email list maintains that they are .5" wider front and rear, but I'm not sure. Can anyone call over there and verify the size and weight?

I think you meant the scales are in kilograms. You can see the Kg on the scales. And there is no way the tire and wheel combination can be 19 lbs. :-)

Good find with the wheels on the scale. Means a 2.2 lb savings on each front and a 3.3 lb savings on each rear. The wheels are said to be stronger but the same widths as the stock wheels.

cdelena:

So how much do the stock wheels/tires weigh? These BBS figures are heavier than the reported 25 lb weight I've seen for the stock sets.

Although I've never weighed the stock wheels / tires myself.

Conversion of above figures, 1 kilo = 2.2 lbs

19.5kg = 42.9 lbs
18.5kg = 40.7 lbs
20.5kg = 45.1 lbs
19 kg = 41.8 lbs
