Default Spare trunk for wing

Those of you with spare trunks for GT wings, are you switching your keyhole mechanism back and forth from your already equipped trunk or are you getting a key with your spare trunk to be able to open?

did a search and found that the key mechanism is required for the trunk to close.

Took the lock apart and took all the pins out so any key opens the race trunk

keyfob button/interior release button.
Seems like the best method. I rarely use the key to open the trunk

^Agreed, as long as you MAKE SURE to plug in the wire harness when you switch trunks you can use your existing key fob. If you forget, well...

Yup, same for me. Just be sure you have the lock hooked up to the release mechanism and you're good to go.

Otherwise you'll have to go in from behind the passenger seat with a broom handle to manually release the lock. I can give you one guess how I know this...

Yup, just put a sticker over the keyhole and hooked up the manual release and harness plug for the key fob release.
