SPC Camber Joint vs J's Racing S1
So, which hardrace part adds camber? Is it the one with the ball joint or the one with the spacers and the ball joint? The reason i ask is I found this kit on ebay, #6622 that does not come with the spacers. The other kit #6621, that does have the spacers/plates does not seem to be for sale on ebay right now.

Do NOT but the 6622 joints. All they are are taller versions of the stock balljoints and will not gain you any camber. You need to buy the 6621 joints. Those are the ones with the offset that will help you gain camber.
Guys, I've got a ton of PMs asking me about these camber joints, and I think they are sold out at the moment. If you guys are serious about buying these and want to get them quickly, maybe I can get him to airship a bunch of them to him. I will do my best to try to keep the price the same, but it may cost slightly extra for shipping, is that ok? I'm thinking that if at least 10 ppl put down money right now for them, that he'll consider it. If you guys are interested, lemme know.
Don't bother with the extra plates. I had a set of J's L1 joints on my last s2000 that I picked up entirely b/c I wanted the extra camber and the price was right. Picked them up used and in excellent condition for like $220. These were the older 1 piece RCA camber joints. It was nice to get the extra camber but I didn't feel anything different by having that little bit of roll center correction.

Another problem with the adjustable ball joints is the points hit you take with NASA in performance touring or time trials. You take no points with the J's part.
19) Alteration of ball joints/dive angles +2
This is my unofficial take on the rules: If a part is not oem or exactly like oem, it must be assessed. If it is NOT assessed in the rules, the part is not legal for use. The fact that said part also increases possible camber is a slam dunk for a points assessment. There is no "free" add'l camber for the S2000, non-adjustable or not.
Under No Points Mods on Page 30, it clearly states that such a part is NOT a "no-point" mod:
1) Simple camber, caster, and toe adjustment by any method that does not alter suspension
mounting points (unless the modification used is otherwise assessed points above--such as
control arm, ball joint, and relocated mounting point modifications). Slotting of the OEM
bolt holes and removal of material from the top surface of the OEM strut/shock tower to the
extent necessary to allow simple camber/caster adjustment is permitted.). Bolt on
camber/caster plates are not assessed points.
Rob, you know how I feel about that whole scenario. I still believe that transparency has not been evident in the rule changes since Rene' did some driving at Mid-Ohio; one day at that(subsequent days were wet). Whether there was an intentional singling out or not, to the casual observer, the S2000 was picked on. What was worse was that the model that did the whooping came out better than the other two groups of S's minus the CR. Best S to have in TT- '06+, then AP1, and then non-flashable AP2's.

Like I said before, Science of Speed got it to me air freighted from Japan either the next day or the day after that, and it was normal shipping rates like you'd pay in the US.
