Excellent!! A great driver in a well developed AP1 playing in B-Street. If Jeff can't win this in that car, it will be a good data point to get the AP1 knocked down to C-Street... (stupid 6.5" front wheels is a horrible handicap)

I highly doubt that will happen. Instead, what is more likely is him doing fairly well, but not winning, and the SEB, rightfully saying that it's a competitive platform. I

I heard a bunch of this at the DC Pro this weekend.

I'll be there in STR, along with a co-driver. I'm hoping to NOT break a diff this year!

What is the proper Pro launch technique? I recall hearing something about holding the park brake and slipping the clutch very slightly against it to preload the teeth. Any tips?

There tends to be two trains of thought:

1) Set your RPM, leave the clutch pedal all the way in, then lift the clutch pedal and apply gas.

2) Set your RPM, let the clutch pedal out to just before the engagement point, then apply gas and lift the clutch pedal.

In the STI, at least, it made no difference other than launch RPM and which light to leave on. The e-brake was only used when staging was on an incline.

Hah, I appreciate that Dave, but I can't take any credit for having a "well developed" car. I just added a sway bar like everyone else. And my stock shocks have 55k miles on them - not exactly a prime specimen for showing the AP1's B Street potential. Please reset your expectations accordingly.

Also, Lane Borg is registered in BS and I hear he's not bad.

Nick, if I had the budget to ship your CR to Lincoln I'd just rent a ride in Charles' GT3.

But it's been a chilly spring so maybe Yom wants a tire warmer... James?

Jeff -- you just blow apart Dave's argument. He wants his AP1 to be CS so the S2000 can be either the car to have or competitive in AS, BS and CS.
