Ya, he's "Just" an administrator. I think you should PM the site owner and have his admin privileges taken away...
Grow thicker skin, you'll ALWAYS get stupid comments/advice, you will also get good advise, be more willing to learn and try to not come off like a know-it-all/smartass. Such open-ended questions aren't easy to ask and leave the door open for said stupid/vague replies. Try asking more narrowly-focused questions and keep learning.

I understand your remark about keeping inquiries more specific, and it's a point well taken. But please keep in mind there's no gun to anyone's head to reply to a post they feel is too general, or even inane for that matter. That's why there's a 'back' button in the upper left hand corner of everyone's web browser.
This isn't S2000 talk. We don't flood the forum with crap and then attempt to wade through it.
We try to keep it clean so it can be useful. Misinformation on this forum can lead to the loss of money, property, or even endanger the driver and other drivers he is on course with.
There's no problem with asking questions, we are all here to learn. Just keep the above in mind.

Hey, I'm working hard to keep the level of crap down in S2000 Talk.
Note to Boyracer:
Racing and Competition is more like a community than a big, anonymous internet forum. The unwritten social rules here are a little different than on the general Interwebz.
People here often have met each other and hung out in real life. Treat it like your local autocross / track clubhouse. You don't just come waltzing in and e-thugging. They're the ones with the knowledge and you're the one that will need their help so be nice.
Nobody is "making" anyone do anything. But you might find that when you need help on track or with setup and the answers don't exist anywhere else in the world but in this subforum... people might be decidedly silent to your pleas.
