Has anyone even tried a track day on the stoptech street pads that come with it just for kicks? Of course full blown track pads will offer a higher Mu and most likely better feel but they have the same MOT as the HT-10 (~1,300F). I would imagine you could get away with running them if you have ducting and aren't on anything more that star specs, R-S3 or any other Extreme performance summer tire. Also this excludes brake killing tracks like ACS or Laguna.

I made that mistake. I ran them years ago as my first set of pads with these brakes and would not recommend it at all. It was good for a while or so I thought until one Poconos event (North course maybe, I don't remember?) where I was finally picking up speed and going faster and getting on the brakes harder and ended up getting uneven pad deposits on my rotor. I drove home with almost no braking power at all, and brakes would shudder badly if I even got on them slightly. Luckily for me the rotors were still fairly new and I was able to just have them turned and reuse them. The pads never went back on the car. Poconos isn't even that hard on the brakes. I don't think I cooked the pads but I guess you can say they didn't like the higher end of the MOT.

Interesting, so no problems with fade or anything? just pad deposits? You're positive you didn't come to a complete stop with your foot still on the brake pedal after coming off track or anything like that? The only time I've ever gotten pad deposits was when the rotor was completely warped but that obviously wasnt the case with relatively new 2 piece aerorotors.

yes.

Same as you would with the OEM brakes, except instead of riveting to the dust shield, bolt to the ABS sensor.

Thank you! Where did you buy your ducting and hardware?

Did any of you guys have to file down the tips of your lower control arms? Mine was hitting my rotor under hard cornering. I filed it down a little and now I dont hear anything but Ill pull everything off again and check for rubbing.
