Some SCCA club racing classes don't let you change the brake caliper.

Yikes indeed. That is more than other available options.

Well how much are disc replacements after the initial investment? Most of the time the hats. Are expensive not the rings. I would be wrong since maybe stoptech 328 rings are super mass produced

That's just the MSRP. PM me if you're intersted in these.

You may want to specify further. The StopTech Aerorotor and the PFC have floating rotors that can expand separately from the hat or hub.

Girodisc also has a floating 2-piece (all floaters are two piece), made in the US, $700. http://www.girodisc....000_p_6575.html

No I'm going for the broad spectrum, has anyone cracked a two piece oem sized rotor.

If so how much abuse did it take before it cracked?

If I'm going to spend half the cost of a bbk, I'd like to have some certainty that they wont crack the same way, after 1-2 events that is.

I cant find pfc hats, only rotor rings, I've been on the fence about girodisc and since you've added in images of those three, you should also add in the RB rotors with their special hats and vented vanes as well.
