They were the racing brake OEM sized 2-piece floating rotor. I did not have any ducting. I don't know if they are cryogenically treated, I can't remember. It's been awhile, but you could look it up on the racing brake website. This was at Thunderhill, and my pace was around 2:10.

While mass allows the rotor to absorb the energy from braking, cooling get the temperature back down before it heats up on the next braking event. Which track did this occur at?
With the indicated relatively light braking the failure is either installation-related or a product defect. Ducting, floating rotors, and cryo treatments are ways to avoid heavy use related problems.
Edit: here's the link to the product: http://www.racingbra...0-09-p/2081.htm
I was using the open-slot disk, p/n: D204-02-0381

Do you have a picture of the cracked rotor?
Have you examined the rotor with Spotcheck or some other liquid penetrant crack detection spray for other cracks not yet visible?
That rotor appears to be floating (the manufacturer calls it sliding) and has an unusual set of holes drilled in its rotor slots. Also, rather than have the rotor mounting tabs on one face of the rotor they have alternating tabs from both faces
That thread ended with another poster indicating that Racing Brake may have incorrectly machined your rotor. Beyond that,. RB's drilling holes in the slot created a weak point which propagated to one of their highly offset tabs. It would appear to be a bad design compounded with a defective product.
Note, Girodisc only slots rotors, PFC doesn't even slot, it just dimples them.
