Wasn't meant to be an end all, be all list. I literally copied and pasted from a running spreadsheet that I've updating from time to time. I don't view either Haltech option as being one of the front runners, which is why I didn't say much about them. It seems there are other, simpler, options that can get the job done for less money. I had only briefly read about the AEM FIC and wasn't aware there was an S2000 specific version.

Cheers,

I had technical difficulties getting the FIC to work with our car. We didn't have a restriction so we eventually went with a full EMS (yes, not legal for STR). I think they may have worked out some of the kinks, but make sure you find a tuner who doesn't just talk the talk.

Great numbers, and thanks for sharing!! I sure hope the AP1 gets that kind of gain down low.

Oh really?!?!! I sure hope so, as that is a nice gain. I came to the conclusion that it was an AP2v1 (04-05) based on the image from the signature and it stopping at 8K RPM.

The second one is labeled "ap1", but I don't know. I could be wrong, and often am.

Edit: Nevermind, that's the source, I guess for "auto plot 1" which would shorten to AP 1, oh well.

Honestly, I initially thought the same thing, as who would put an emanage on an AP2 and saw AP1 somewhere on the chart... Then I remembered the 04-05 were hosed liked the AP1 owners.... Then, the other pieces fell in place... RPM and image.

BTW, I've learned to accept that I am wrong most of the time and was hoping I was with this situation. I would love to have that kinda TQ. LOL I'm looking forward to seeing a dyno of a AP1 STR prepped car with a piggyback.

Cheers!!

Be forewarned... Possible stupid question as I know nothing about tuning.

I believe I have read that some ECU's learn and negate the benefits of a tune. I think I remember this when researching the VTEC controller. Are the piggyback's susceptible to this? If so, is there a way to bring it back to where it was just after the tune?

Thanks,

-D

i've already pushed the limits of the f20c on my ap1 with e85.

yes, you need roughly 25-30 percent more fuel to create the same combustion as you would with regular gasoline. no, the stock injectors are not enough to run e85 even with minor bolt on's. i am running id 1000's on ap1 and yes it's naturally aspirated lol.

no. most ecu's out there have a table for intake air temperature compensation. as long as that table is dialed in correctly you'll have no problems.

that's not true. i have my entire fuel system completely stock minus injectors. i've tuned dozens of older cars with e85 with nothing more than larger injectors and everything else staying stock and i've never had any problems.
