This is our third event on the OS diff, but first good showing with the OS diff. This was also the first event with a cat-pipe and VTEC at 4100RPM. The car was stepping out in the morning on steady-state cornering so we lowered the rear to settle it in the afternoon. It gave us the confidence to really push the sweeper speed.

It's been a great battle so far this year with you two. Here was my video from that course...

Kind of a last hurrah on the old setup. New spring rates and miata bar should be going on this coming weekend. A local kart track opened up for some cars to run, and I was the only car to show up. It was a private track day for $80. Pretty good value for money in my opinion.

Track had a brand new sealed asphalt surface which made grip pretty low (slower than old surface), but at least tire wear was almost non-existent.

I don't get how some people say STR setups do not work on tracks, even if this one was pretty slow.

Nice to hear someone else benefiting from a rake adjustment. I don't understand why more people are not discussing/experimenting with this and it's benefits.
Its a fine adjustment that most people overlook IMO. I use rear ride height a lot as my main adjustment now. (overall balance is good). Most of the time i use it to cure corner exit issues. In fact, i probably could of cured my corner entry understeer issues by raising the rear one full turn. ^video above. I decided to leave the car as is since it was my last run and just adjust to the car... that didn't help much. lol
How does the rake adjustment compare to a shock or swaybar adjustment in trying to achieve the same result?

I'd think on a Kart track a STR setup would be awesome because the track is going to be low enough speed. A typical STR would be scary trying to hold a turn at 90+ mph like people see on big tracks.

Here's my Dixie Tour videos. I think the interesting thing here is that on Sat I ran Kooks and on Sunday I ran Dunlops. It looks like the Kooks pushed more and the Dunlops pushed less which made it seem like there was oversteer. Also, notice how the course is all offsets.

This run was shaping up to be pretty decent until the finish.

Some how, the first run was my fastest. Crazy. At the finish, I pause on the throttle because I got my foot between the gas and the brake! Silly small racing shoes. Should have stuck with the addidas.

You look so much more comfortable on the Dunlops Matt. The Hankooks did look to have more push from what I could see too lik you mentioned.

Here is a cool event I was at this weekend.

The event was held at the European Rally School on part of their road course. It was my first time on such a track and I had a total blast! If only I didn't plow that pointer cone
