Unfortunately, I resemble that remark.

Colin, I agree that is some great drivin'!! Are you making any adjustments/changes for 2012?

Matt, that oversteer was really only on that run. I'll post my fastest Hankook run later tonight. The thing that surprised me too is those Dunlops had more runs on them and I had been daily driving them the whole season. The Hankooks were the trailer queen tires mounted on the lighter wheels with much less runs. I do look forward to doing more testing and I plan on more testing at the Lincoln super tour weekend.

The car will be lighter (slightly) next season and will have more power from a header, hfc, intake and tune. I have been kicking around going up to 850 springs in the front but I hate to ruin the ride which is not too bad right now.

The S2000 is really surprising me with how it is handling the stiffer springs. I just upped my fronts to 850 and I can still drive the car on dates without complaints about the ride. Now the exhaust... that's a possible rub for longer drives.

Yeah, the exhaust will need to have something done if it gets louder on the freeway once the header and hfc go on.

Putting the factory resonator inline right after the cat really helped the highway drone with my configuration, but I still got warned at Blytheville for being over 97dB. I must admit that it sounds glorious in tunnels/under large bridges as I rip to 9K RPM. At that point, I can't hear my passengers complain anyway.

Lots of good videos in here. As bad as I want to get the car prepped to go on the road course this kind of stuff makes me want to shoot for doing more autocross this year. With all the things I have coming up I have a feeling mostly autocross is all I'll have the time and money to do.

Plus STR prep leaves me with a much more fun car to drive on the street. What I really want to do is get my hands on some nice shocks. I just wish my budget was a bit higher.

Here is the fastest run on Hankooks. I don't know how to do side by side with iMovie but if someone does it would be interesting to see the difference.

here you go Colin. I youtube'd this to try and make a side to side comparison video with my co-driver. Just go to iMovie->preference-> click advanced tools. Then insert the second video into your main video. BAM

Just saw your side by side video and I think I know why you were faster on the dunlops. My experience with both tires, I have found that the dunlops take set (sustained lateral grip) faster. With the amount of transition on that course each fraction of a second counts. Out here we tend to have more high speed big radius sweepers that tend to the hankooks more.
