STR Prep - Wheels and Tires
I think your Volk weight is a little optimistic. I know that Glagola had them at one point and I think they were closer to 16 lbs, not 14. I think the Buddy Club wheel is in the 14 lb range though.
As far as the polls go, I don't know if they will remain useful overtime. Unless it gets purged, it wont reflect current trends, or the trends over time. For instance, if someone comes into this thread a year or two from now, and the new hotness is a Bridgestone tire, but the poll indicates that the Dunlop and the Hankook are still the favorite tire due to what people have been running for the last year, they have been mislead by data that is no longer relevant. Of course digging into these threads will reflect what is going on, but I think that they could be counterproductive.
I do like the idea of the polls, since it's immediately useable information, but if it's not accurate, that's an issue. Perhaps the first post in each of these threads could be a summary or reflection of the current trends, and the moderator having the ability to update it periodically as major things happen - like when a new tire becomes the tire to have.

This past month I ran my first even on the Rival S 1.5 and ran 36 front and 35 rear for starting pressures and it enabled me to put down a competitive time. I currently run Swift Spec-R with CR shocks (need an upgrade) and Karcepts bars front and rear with 255 square.
