Default Suggestions for capping the air pump lines

As the title states, I just removed my air pump from the car. I have one small tube that connected to the air control valve and two small lines that went to the air control valve vacuum control solenoid valve.

Do they need to be capped and sealed? If so, I'm looking for examples.

Jim,

If you took the air pump off, take off the valve on the mani. and make a block off plate like this.

Ive seen a few people do this when they have an EMS.

I'm talking about the small (~3/16") air lines shown here:

Yup..see the circled item on the right...take off that piece on the mani.

I did it when I was turbo and used a plate to block the opening.

And if you want you can put a tiny cap on the nipple (mani).

I left it open since it was so small but I didnt track my car either at the time. We see lots of dirt on the track. lol

Go to autozone and buy a variety pack of vacuum line caps for a couple of dollars. Find where the hard lines come out from under the fuel rail and connect to the intake manifold. Unplug the rubber hose from the manifold and put a cap over the exposed nipple. Replace the caps every year, as they get brittle and crack. Leaks will cause the idle to surge.

Its been a while so I could be wrong but the hard lines trace to the mani and valve thingy circled on the right.

I think they end up near there, but are separate connections to the intake manifold. I'll take a look at mine when I get home to be sure.

I got it all figured out last night. The two lines circled in the picture above are on the same run as the line circled on the right. They end up attaching to the intake manifold on the right (unseen in picture). I just had to nipple off that bung.

Thanks for all the replies.
