Swaybar Recommendations?
I run OEM bar in front (Comptech adjustable in storage; not for sale though) and no rear, both cars. Race car has 900 front/800 rear springs, and white car has 650 front/750 rear, and they both feel balanced with 255's all around (weird; white car felt even better with the rear bar installed, so I am convinced that no two cars are the same for optimum setup). Each running about 1* to 1.5* more negative camber in front, and bumpsteer kit in rear. Do you have a good wing (this is a big difference at most speeds)?
Yes, it's true--the first contact I ever had was at last weeks ARC Race. Fortunately (unfortunately?) it happened in the PIT just prior to the race. I was a little tunnel-visioned, I admit, while making sure my car was ready....oil, lug torque, helmet, gloves, etc. I jumped in, started backing up slowly and checked for peds over each shoulder...then BAM! Oh yeah...now I remember...Bill's buddy parked his 510 behind me.
Gotta love rearward visibility in a race car (I knew I should raise that wing up some). Stupid move on my part. Fortunately it wasn't a Ferrari or a Radical.
