On my home track when you go off on the SLOWEST corner it looks like this (taken in my race today)

You have tires? That would be nice.

Yeah, I admit, I 'puss'd' out this year and decided to compete in a different kind of racing. Instead of filling up my S and heading out to Thunderhill or BW once a month I spent six days of every week from Jan. to Aug. racking up just under 4,000 solo swim, bike and run training miles in preparation for Ironman Louisville. Yes, ladies and gentleman, that's a 140.6 mile race that kicks off with a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run.

And just before 8:30pm on Aug. 26th this Nobody became a somebody who is now an Ironman.

Enough said I've always said car racing was you slowing down and getting safer. People have know idea how hardcore of an extreme athlete you've been.

Congrats D, that's an awesome victory. We need to catch up weekend of the 28th.

I know you've trained for over one year for this grand finale, aside from the many torturous injuries, and you have still managed to persevere. Stamina and endurance meet determination. One day I'll join your ranks.

LoL. Yeah, I'll be back, but to be honest I wonder how competitive I want to be now. Some of my best memories were actually when I was out on the track alone....Laguna in the rain, Thunderhill on test days.

And Asura--I'm signed up for IM CDA in '08 and will be going to KY again next Aug. Sign up, man!!!!!!!

I have to give up rock-climbing, perhaps this will be the next best thing
I'll have to work on my swimming. Bike and run is not an issue, although not the distance and length you are accustomed to. We'll talk soon...
