Default Thread for seat fitments?

Is there a thread that details which aftermarket seats fit and which ones don't?

There are a number of threads to this effect that go nowhere.

I'm trying like hell to find a comfortable seat that will fit, and finding it very difficult to get good information.

So, if you have installed an aftermarket seat, please post seat make and model, mounting brackets used, and what mods if any to make it fit.

Thanks

I have an MY07.

Sparco Corsa on Buddy club rails, drivers side. Shoulder wings are a bit too large and dented the door panel...but the door does close. It also sits quite a bit higher it seems that my friends Sparco Pro2000 on buddy club rails (MY05) and we aren't sure why. Plan is to ditch the buddy clubs and have some custom solid mount brackets made.

I have a Recaro Pole Position on Buddyclub rails. No mods required to fit, doesn't touch the doors or block the glove box.

And it's comfy as hell, wayyy more comfy than stock. I'm 6' 185 lbs with a 32" waist btw.

Recaro Profi SPGs will dent the door cards, unless you sit all the way back.

Recaro Pole Position slightly dents the door card (again, unless sitting far back, but it's almost a non-issue), wider fit than the Profi SPG. Works perfect if you daily your car.

Recaro TS-Gs (ASM edition) fits perfectly, quite supportive and very comfortable.

Recaro Pro-Racer HANS dents the door car (less than the Profi SPG). Great support, leg bolsters are very high which makes using the OEM 3 point hard (mainly buckling in). Works perfectly with a 6-point harness.

Bride Stradia - reclining bucket, never really used the feature. Fit is more like an Profi SPG, but not as much lateral support on the shoulders.

Let me know if you want me to be more specific on any of the above.

What about getting as low as possible? I'm almost 6'2", and want to get slammed if I can. I also codrive the car with someone who is quite a bit shorter so solid mounts aren't a good choice

Confirmed that the Recaro Profi SPG will be up against the door unless you sit pretty far back.

Is that in an AP1 or AP2?

What's the upper limit of waist size that will fit the Pro-Racer Hans?

Sparco Evo 2 seats. I had to trim the outside shoulder "wing" of the seat just a little, maybe 1/4 inch to keep it from rubbing the door trim. This is a roomy seat, I'm a pretty big guy and the seat fits me.

I trimmed the seat by loosening the wire cable that holds the cover on, pulled back the cover and ground off the plastic base, then reattached the cover & wire.

I used the Tien adjustable rails but now have it floor mounted with a custom bracket for maximum body slam.

The Evo and Evo2 are 50mm wider than the Pole Position at the shoulders so they definitely need modification to fit. IIRC correctly, if you prefer the fitment of the Evo over the Pole Position (those of us with wider backs and shoulders), none of the seats that fit will fit properly without hunching at the shoulders.

Anybody found an alternative to the Evo that fits in the S2000 and fits the back and shoulders like an Evo?
