5'7" roughly 165-170 lbs, ~31-32" waist.

It's snug, and perfect for DD. On-track, I still move around in the seat a tiny bit.

And yes, the fitment on the Buddy Club rail sucked. The Bride rail had dead on fitment, and so does the Mugen and Taitec.

I have a 31-32" waist also.

I think it is the side mounts that suck on the BC rails. If they were slotted just a little bit wider, the rails would reach the mounting holes just fine. At least that was the problem I had with mine. The BC rails may work better with a slightly wider seat.

I've got a Recaro Pole Position on order. Is anyone using this seat with the stock seatbelt? I hear it's a challenge to buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt. Has anyone found a fix? No rollbar = no harnesses for me.

Also, what seat rails allow this seat to get very low? The whole reason I'm buying this is that my upper body is a little too tall for an S2000, so I want to have the seat base close to the floor. Taitec sounds like a good option, but the BuddyClub rails are much cheaper. Can you still access the BC slider release handle with the seat all the way down?

The Buddy Club rails work well for the seat buckle. The buckle sits just under the lip of the seat. Once you try it a few times, its easy. Keep in mind it is a tight fit in general because the Pole Position's are a wide seat. My seat is all the way down on the Buddy Club's and no problem reaching the handle.

Is that in an AP1 or AP2?

What's the upper limit of waist size that will fit the Pro-Racer Hans?
AP1. Not sure how the door design differs for the AP2.

I should also not that I've adjusted the seat as close to the transmission tunnel as possible (Taitec rail). Getting to the oem 3 point is a bit of a pain.

For the regular Pro Racer, I'm a 30" and fit well. If you were local, I'd invite you to sit in it. There is a XL version of the pro racer available as well.

Same here. I have a Recaro Pole Positon on the passenger side with a buddy club rail. There isn't a lot of room between the transmission tunnel and the seat. I usually have to rotate the oem buckle towards the rear of the car to get enough room to buckle in. You get better at it after a few tries.

If the seatbelt ever locks while bucked in, you'll have to be creative. You can't just hit the buckle release because it sits under the lip of the seat. Be prepared for a lot of tugging and pulling.

All this would be a non-issue if the buddy club rail actually slid forward and back. Not sure how others do it, but the adjustment bar for the rail does not clear the "hump" under the seat - especially if you put the seat in the lowest position. I've seen some Recaro rails with a modified adjustment bars available in Japan. A Mugen style rail, with the adjustment on one side, would also solve this issue.

The adjustment bar sits *on* the hump for me. YOu can always hammer it "straighter"

You think the XL pro racer would fit in the S ?? I want that seat (I have a pole position now) but was told (forgot who) said that seat would not fit in the s2000.

Thats the only other seat I'll fit in besides the P.P.

The wings will not clear for sure if the door panels are in. It's hard to tell about the seat itself though. If you have custom mounts with fixed rails, you might have a chance…

Have you looked into other brands like Racetech or Cobra?
