Default Tire size for track

What is a good tire size for track? 225 or 245 in the rear, 205 in the front or 225. or how about 225 all around?

I assume you're on the 16" OEM rims. I am, and I use a 205/245 combo on Yok A032R tires on the track. Lots of other people run 225/245 and even wider on the rears, but still others run their stock 205/225 Potenza's and seem to have a good time.

It's important to keep wider tires on the rear than on the front since the car is a bit loose as it is. I feel like my 205/245 combo helps neutralize the car's natural oversteer by adding grip to the rear of the car. (Not to mention that there's now more rubber for the drive wheels to generate acceleration with. )

For some real good S2000-specific advice on this topic, you might want to check out s2ki's "Wheels and Tires" forum and/or contact Jim at The Tire Rack.
