You can then easily run the wires out through the rubber vent on the driver's side of the trunk and fasten the wires with a zip tie or grommet.
I routed the trailer wire out through the rubber grommet that the license plate light wiring goes through. It's right above where I installed the controller box, which is against the rear metal wall of the toolbox well, in the gap between the fiber trunk liner and the metal wall. The plug wire is just long enough for the plug to be pulled out over the top of the license plate, and it tucks behind that panel when not in use.

I thought that the vent you're talking about had a flapper that closed. Does the wire hold the flapper open?

The flapper is an air vent for the trunk. The flapper is simply a flap of rubber. This is how my harness is run as well.

Right -- the flapper is meant as a 1-way valve to let air out of the trunk but not in (carbon monoxide bad). I wouldn't want to prop it open with a wire, but I'm picky.

[QUOTE=Orthonormal,May 15 2007, 08:19 AM] Huh, maybe they changed their minds after I talked to them the weekend after qualifying.
