I did two track days with an APR GTC-200 wing and my spare trunk lid is now deformed and lifted at the front mounting point and it's also in contact with the top of the rear bumper. I'm not sure what AOA I was running, so perhaps it was my mistake, but I really didn't think it'd get like this from one weekend (top speed was 102 MPH). In any case, can someone with the same setup confirm the CR supports are strong enough to prevent this from happening? If not, what are some other options? I found another thread for a Custom Support but I have no fabrication skills and prefer to purchase one, if necessary.

the CR stuff helps - you can bend/cut some of the pieces and put them on the back of the mounting bolts for the 200 and whatever my trunks still bent a bit though

If you don't do anything else to reinforce your trunk at least do this:

You'll see a mark on your tail light assembly where the stock trunk support sits. Reinforce it with these self stick Home Depot rubber feet. It will help keep your trunk from being mashed down. It is a little harder to close the trunk but it works.

You do need to make sure you're running down force with the wing. If not the front of the wing can actually lift the front of the mount and crush the trunk at the back of the mount.

Here's my favorite solution from the Boss 302S competition car:

wing mounts away from the edge:

They're the biggest bumpers I could find, about 3/4 of an inch square.

Since you have to close the trunk with a little more force with these bumpers I recommend you hold both wing uprights when you close the trunk.

At what AOA do you see lift rather than downforce (if measuring the angle by laying a straightedge over the center section)?
