I considered adding an entry on the W710, but (a) it doesn't come in S2000-appropriate sizes, and (b) Tire Rack's got almost all of the sizes on closeout, which suggests that the tire's being discontinued.

I've driven on both R888s and Hoosier Wets, and R888, you're no Hoosier Wet.

Regarding the "rare" second generation Comptech FSB I have put pins in all five holes for some additional stiffness. I don't know what the gain is because I don't have access to a bench to measure it. Is there any way to do this without a sway bar test bench?

Is anyone else doing this? Does anyone else still running the Comptech bar?

Pins in all 5 holes shouldn't really be any different than pins in both end holes.

It's possible to estimate the stiffness for pins in any combination of holes if you know the diameter of the inner and outer tubes (and the wall thicknesses).

I am, just not competitively.

A local autocrosser used an interesting approach to measure relative stiffness by bolting the bar in various ways and placing a sheet of paper under one front tire. He'd then slowly jack the car up until he could remove the paper and would measure the distance from the floor. He demonstrated that bolts in the first and last hole was the stiffest and intermediate dual bolts were stiffer than just a single bolt in the stiffest setting. I don't seem to have the email any more to relate his findings but it's something that could be relatively easily repeated.
