Valve Adjustment
So, I talked to a friend of mine and see said Im developing a problem an s2k owner from ATL had. When I drive the valves chatter and occasionally the car will bog down too far when it comes down to an idle. WTF do I do?!?!?!
I doubt if it is the valves. S2000s are known to have "heat bog" issues. But feel free to pull the valve cover and check the clearances. There's a good writeup on this in Under The Hood.
keep in mind that the write-up has the firing order wrong.
it is 1-3-4-2.
it also says to turn the crank pulley counterclockwise.
you should turn it clockwise to keep the correct firing order. our engines turn clockwise.
some people might want to turn counter-clockwise to make it easier to turn(no compression), but if you do this, you will have to go backwards(1-2-4-3)
or you can take out your sparkplugs and go clockwise. this will make it easier to turn.
