Video camera question
I finally bought a camera for use in my car on the track. All seems to be excellent, except for one thing: I expected that there would be a light on the front of the camera, telling me that it is recording, but there isn't. I have a remote, with which I can start it before we start our engines in pre-grid, but I don't have any idea how I can be sure that it actually started.
Any suggestions? It's a Sony DCR SR62 Camcorder.
Thanks.

Good thought; I assume that this screen will flip around, so I can use that to see status, then close it up before going onto the track.
The beep sound is enabled, but I'm not confident that it will carry above all the ambient noise, especially if the car's on.
Thanks!

^ That's only a better question if he doesn't already know the answer.
I use one made by MGRacing or MPRacing or something like that. It works well, and can support up to 3 cameras (though I've never used more than one.
It mounts using the existing holes for the windscreen (atop the secret compartment).

Also, www.modifry.com, sells a camera mount that's relatively cheap, easy to install and looks nice. Check it out at modifry's website.
