VTECH and corners
As has been said above, you usually want to be in VTEC throughout the turn, but not if you risk unsettling the car. There's a fun double-apex turn at Roebling Road (turn 1) that can be entered very quickly in 4th gear if you are able to do a smooth heel-toe downshift to 3rd just before the 2nd turn-in point mid-corner. It's very fun and fast when done properly, but I'd advise most people learning the track to leave the car in 4th throughout the turn. It's much smoother that way even though you're out of VTEC in the 2nd part of the turn.
well with all of this, then what would cause an s2000 to spin out if taking a corner? Cuase from what i was told that if you go into a turn engaged in Vtec there is a very high possibility that you will do a 360.....is that true? what would cause the car to do a 360 in a situation like that?

Any sudden lifting of the throttle, especially while in VTEC, would cause the rear to come loose -> 360. It is important to commit to the throttle once you get on it, and not back off during a corner. In a typical corner, ideally it means braking (trail) then transitioning to throttle (rolling on) at the right point to maximize speed and keep the car balanced/planted.
It's tough to say what would cause a loop (severe oversteer) since it depends on so many things. Hitting VTEC while at the limits of adhesion is going to add a perturbation that could overpower the grip of the tires but that also depends on banking angle, what gear you're in (torque multiplication), speed (works with gearing to determine how big the perturbation is), etc. You can also spin due to throttle lift (trailing throttle oversteer) as well as trail braking (rear wheels get unloaded and the brakes lock them up) and even driving style (abrupt steering change).
VTEC is only one of the reasons but should not be discounted. Experience and common sense go a long ways in keeping you inside the box or, at least, on the edge...
