yup. the tire stops the car, not the brake pad.

. Seriously though, I figure this will be the best compromise, great braking (because they are OEM blanks), increased life (cryo treating) and no rust (cad plating). The plating should hold up fine for autoX (which is primarily what I do), I'll throw my old rotors back on for the occasional HPDE day (<3-4 days per summer) since the higher track temps might melt it off.
