Default What tire size?

i have ap2 oem size staggered tires (215/245).
i might found a loophole wich allows me to change tire size in my vehicle registration.
what size should i choose?

i'm doing all types of performance driving - from mini auto-x (all 1st gear) up to big/long canyon runs.

all in all i'm happy with car's ballance.
i would love better braking and sharper turn in.
i would like to stay away from the fenders mods.

rotating front/rear is not important to me.

i thought to go for 225/255.
maybe 235/255?

larger front tires won't make for sharper turn in. Do you want more absolute handling or sharper turn in?

wider tires=more grip. isn't it?

first priority i would say is more braking.

More front tire would help your braking.

Go for 255/40R17 or 245/40R17 all around if your worried about a circumference change.
I think it has been proven to be the faster setup and you can rotate your tires.
You will need to increase the size of your front sway bar and maybe change spring rates, but once you do that the turn in and corner entry feel will come back like it was before.
If you can afford, it I think the Gendron sway bar with ball bearings is the hot bar right now....

I run 255 on stock ap2v1 rear rims front and back, with 5mm front spacer, and no fender mods. (17x9 is in near my future).

225/255 is a great set up for staggered as you get a similar stagger and the additional grip of the wider tire.
On the stock rim the 235 will be really tough the 225 is a great fit.

my current wheels are 17x7.5+50 and 17x9+63.
does it makes sense to go 235/255?

but actually today even with 215 front it rubs a little...

i would personally do(and currently) run 225-45-17 and 255-40-17, .....I keep wanting to do 235s on the front but I just think it will buldge too much for my taste

What aspect ratio would the 235mm work best for the 7" wide stock front rim 40 or 45?

i see that i have a problem to get locally 255 tires - so i have to stick with 245s.

i'm thinking maybe to go for square 245 setup.
how difficult is to make it fit with 17x9 +60 rim?
