If you love how it feels now but want better braking, I'd stick with the same tires and upgrade your pad compound up front.

You keep turn in, keep the same balance, and upgrade your braking capabilities.

i'm already with perry agressive pads - Wilwood BP20. also had hard core PFC97.
also grip wise it always seems to me that front tires are the bottle neck...

If that's the case, you'll probably need to sacrifice turn in for out right grip...unless you want to play with your toe or caster settings to get the car to turn in faster...at increased tire wear and or higher speed stability/slower return to center. Everything is a trade off. You just have to pick which trade offs you're willing to take.

i'm already with lowered caster.

i thought wider front tires gives better turn in - it does not ???

Lower caster? as is smaller negative numbers?

wider tires resist turning and require more force to change direction

Depends on profile of tire, construction and wheel size

yes - caster is ~5.5 degr.
the steering is ligher and more communicative.

typical tires i use are Toyo R1R.
i ordered R888 - will se how long will it take to get them.
had AD08 but they out stock for a few months and i didn't fall in love with them. also here they're much more expensive than R1R.
Derezza and Hankook are not available at all.

so - R1R it is.

BTW - we had in the past some discissions:
1. about turn in:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/906...etter-turn-in/

this was improved by reducing rear toe - still not "magical" though...
since than i had a set of AD08 and i didn't feel they had better turn in

2. about better braking:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/906...strong-brakes/

this was improved by 3R Wilwood front kit.
but i wouldn't mind even better braking
