Wheel Stud Damage?
#11
The best solution I've come across is using MSI studs and their lug nuts. More expensive than ARP but worth it IMO.
NEVER had an issue with MSI products. Even had a car hit my AP1 on the passenger side rear corner and broke the knuckle but the studs weren't even bent..
I've had issues with ARP on my STi at the track. Threads got damaged somehow. I just ugga dugga them back on for the rest of the day and replaced them all later. That was years ago though.

where did you order your MSI studs from? I couldn't find a convenient place, and ended up just going with ARP extended studs. Haven't had any issues so far. asking for a future purchase.

I looked into MSI and ended up skipping due to the cost.
Having just completed the work, I should have just splurged. Between the cost for the press (one time cost), the studs, the bearings, the nuts, etc & the time it takes - it would have been a drop in the bucket.
I just installed ARP extended studs and 949 lugs. Hopefully that'll work out.

My S and our endurance cars are all MSI, and we’ve been using them for years with no issues. And yes, we use the matching lugs. Yellow ones make it easy to find the ones that run away, lol

https://www.msirp.com/
Their website is under construction. Curtis the original owner sold the company last year but its in good hands.
Their shop is 1,000' from my office. I could see about a group buy to try and lower costs.
