If only there is such a size as 275/35/17, then it will make my decision a lot easier.
the s2000 is in a weird spot when it comes to tires. I think a lot of people are thinking that 255 just aren't cutting it any more.

If you plan on staying with a 255 I don't see any reason to add that much weight to the car. If you want to run a bigger tire then step up to 18s.

I've had a set 18's before, and ran through a couple sets of tires on them. I still prefer the feel of 17's. Plus, 17" tires are a lot cheaper than 18's.

Width or weight, width or weight... help me decide...

Maybe I should just try them out and decide for myself.

Offset. I don't want to go as aggressive as a +38. I'd have to do more fender mods and still risk pulling the front fender if I countersteer on the track, which I do quite often.
Gotcha. They're not too hard to clear, especially if you're not dumped. F20kills Nd myself run that offset with no issues.

I think rob means to run 285/30/18, not 255. IMO there is no advantage in running 255 or 265 on 18.

Were you running the 9.5 +38 RPF1's in your sig? That's big time full-lock counter steer at "Sunset"? No rubbing even then?

4 lbs per wheel is a lot of unsprung weight and it's all out there on the rim creating the max angular momentum. Go light young man...

It really would be nice if there was a 275/35/17. Let's petition someone to make one.
