where to track it?
i got another ap1 (stock) i want to take it to the track (not autocross) at the real track. im new at this never race on the track. how do i get in? just to test track it. street category?
Your going to get directed to the faq here, but I'll tell you start with HPDE (high performance driver education) if you want to gain track experience in your AP1. There is a must do list if your going there, and most HPDE providers will insist upon some basics like: safe amount of tread depth on tires, freshly bled brake fluid (high temp fluid is a must IMO), new front pads at a minimum (you might be able to get away with OEM your first time out but after that a track compund brake pad is going to be a must), and obviously you want to check your fluids. Where do you live? That will determine how far you will have to drive and what clubs will sponsor the event. Good luck.

I'm here in Northern California, 40 minutes away from San Francisco. Thanks! I really want to experience it.
check out the following clubs if you want to sign up for HPDE:
-Hooked on driving http://www.hookedondriving.com/home.cfm
-North California Racing Club http://www.ncracing.org/
-Trackmasters http://www.trackmasters-racing.com/
-TEAM Racing http://home.onemain.com/~bonster/
-NASA http://www.nasaproracing.com/norcal/
-BMW CCA Golden gate chapter http://www.ggcbmwcca.org/
I am sure there are more organizations, maybe other members can add them here.
if you're just starting out, I would go with Hooked on driving or NASA.
hope that helped
