He'd said on a roll, between a stock S and Max it should be sorta even with a very slim advantage going towards the S. From a dig and the Max ain't got no chance period!

I owned an 03, and traded it in on the s because I can add boost. Between the two cars being my most recent. Yes, you should have walked him. Miss the max though. 0-60 in a shade over 6 in the maxima. We are under 6 if I recall.

I use to own a maxima 97 (ones w/ the 3.0 not 3.5) I had ecu upgrade, pulleys,y-pipe, catback, intake and I would walk on S2000 pretty good.
That's what I thought before I got my S...that I really wanted to run into an S2000 so I could run one.

After I got my S I'm glad I never did. With a perfect run on a bolt-on 4th gen max like yours, you're probably looking at mid 14s. Pretty good for what it is and it's waaay more torquey...but anyone pulling on an S2K in a 4th gen max beat the driver, not the car.

as for 3.5 max encounter like the OP...that's a different story.

I own both cars and the Maxima feels faster but I always ran better times with the S at the track. On the street, anything can happen. I would say the S2000 is faster than the Maxima on the highway.

When racing, dump the clutch at 6K or 7K to spin your wheels and stay in VTEC, otherwise you could damage your differential. BIG BILL!!! Best to spin your wheels than bog.

he's doing it from a roll so dumping the clutch might not be a great idea.
