03 Cobra vs 04 STi
Ok, a few weeks ago we were in the Z06 and as we drove by this guy in an STi my wife rev's at him, I kinda laughed and was like he wont do anything. He then follows us to the gas station and asks if we want to run, my wife says I'll run ya. So as im putting a few gallons in he takes off, we were like wtf? So hes already gone and we take off to try and find him, oh well no luck.
Today, were sitting at the same intersection by the gas station and im like hey theres that STi, well he is across the street and hes reving so my wife revs back as the light goes green she peels out all the way through the intersection and flips it to catch up to him. We catch him on the freeway and mess around a bit, I figured those runs would have discouraged him. We pull off the freeway and pull into a Chevron, he pulls in behind us and same thing ask's us if we want to run, Im like yeah I'll run you. Then my wife tells him hey I wanted to run you in my Z06 and you left, he was like yeah i went out to some races or something. Anyways we head out and find this nice road, his buddies get out and me and my wife are in the car. His buddy is flagging the race, he revs it up and im pretty much taking off at a little above idle. First run his buddy drops his hands and I dont know what happened, but the guy didnt go and I was like wtf, I kinda lurched then let off then he took off, so I floored it, needless to say I put maybe 10+ cars on him, so I knew he was going to want another run. We get back and im like damn what happened, he said he just messed up, want to go again? I said ok one more time, this time he got a decent launch he got maybe 1 car on me, I had a bit off wheel hop so I was going to let off then it stopped, as I shift to 2nd im flying by him, I took it up to 4th then let off with maybe 7-8 cars on him or more, my wife said she could see him in her passenger mirror
Anyways sorry for the long story, they were all pretty cool, and had a good attitude about it. It was a stock STI, and he said that was the first time he lost, I was like who have you been racing? These BFG KDW2's definitely hook way better than my Toyo T1R's did. BTW...if you noticed, I have a few tickets so I try to let my wife drive as much as possible to avoid stupid tickets
