I had 2 different runs with 2 Audis this past couple of days, and thought I'd share it.

The first run was with a previous gen. S4(bi-turbo). He was tailgating me, so I figured he wanted to run. So we come to a stop at a light, and he's behind me. I roll out slow, and he's still on my ass. After he gets past the car next to us, he guns it and pulls to the next lane. I see him coming up quick so I nailed it at around 40mph in 3rd. He pulls even with me and stopped pulling, then I start to pull on him a little. We had to shut off at around 80mph cause of traffic. We pull alongside and I ask him if he was stock, and he said he has a chip. We told each other nice cars, and I turned off. Cool guy, nice car.

The second run was with a RS6. I thought it was a A6 when he flew by me on the highway, after I caught up I saw it was a RS6. Oh well, doesn't hurt to try. I couldn't get beside him cause there's too much cars on the other lanes. So I get behind him, and waited for him to take off. Surely he did, he gunned it at around 60mph and I followed. He put about 3 cars on me from 60 to 105-110mph. We had to stop cause a cop was stopped on the shoulder ahead. I never got next to him cause he exited right after we past the cop. But that thing MOVED.

I think I need a bigger turbo.

LOL, Thats my dream sleeper the Audi RS6

 

I have a catless turboback and a BOV .

The RS6 is a sleeper is a distance since it looks like the A6. But once you get close enough, there's enough clues for people that know. The big dual exhaust, front/rear bumpers, big brakes, emblems, and the shiny silver mirrors.

 

Yea, I think the chipped S4 would be pretty even. I have only run into one STI with my S4 and I was very impressed as it seemed like a good match up. Unfortunately there was traffic so we really could not get a good run. I am looking forward to running into one..

The RS6 is waaaaay cool. I totally want one and hope to start looking for one next year..

"A chipped S4 is only 14.1' s I thought"... I looked them up on Audi forums.

Bottom line... IMO STi should edge out an S4 with just chip. STi stock 13.3's > Chipped S4 14.1's... Exhaust and chipped S4 that's about even, both low 13's.

I ran both recently, I beat both. (04 M3)

Nice run with the RS6 though...

 

I think I was a bit faster than the S4, because he got on the throttle first and I didn't full throttle until he was about to get next to me. So to stop him from passing me I had to be faster than him. I think if we gunned it at the same time side by side, I would've probably put at least one car on him.

 

A chipped bi-turbo S4 with exhaust only runs low to mid 13s and should be pretty even with an STI/Evo, M3, and 996. The M3 board will say they beat most S4s. The S4 board will say they beat most M3s. An STI racing an S4 on an S2000 board sounds pretty fair to me.
