03 Cobra vs S2000
I bet if you exported left-hand drive Mustang's to Japan, GT's would go for $35K+. I bet they would sell very well, and snobby owners would tell their friends with $20K S2000's that Honda kinda sucks because they can't make a V8, and Civics are such stripper econocars

Ford and Dodge (for example) haven't impressed me at all with anything they produced in stock form with the exception of a few exotics. If you've read my post, my beef was about the 4 bangers since someone initiated with me about "be careful of what I wish for..." well my response was based on that comment and that comment alone and I brought up a few examples. Obviously some don't share the "emotional" views I seem to have and that's cool because I'm not here to gain points for a popularity contest. If you share my views, whether some or all, that's fine, if you don't then that's cool too. My experiences with Fords and Dodges are very bad. The colleges here that teaches automotive science here are all Ford/Lincoln sponsored and every class (the ones before me, my own class, the classes after mine), they all say the same thing (to include my instructor who used to be a mechanic at Ford for over 19 years) that most of their product line don't last, are poorly put together (we took apart a Thunderbird SC and a Mustang GT back then) and both of the cars were demos with less than 2000 miles on them. Shabby work is the most polite thing my classmates and I could ever say nicely. Perhaps we got the worst crap out of the bunch but it left a pretty bad taste in everyone's mouths.
Someone mentioned that Japanese automakers have been very experienced with 4 cylinder engines since it's the staple of their market, no argument there. It could also be said that Ford has been on the market far longer than any Japanese automaker and you would think that they should have a lot more knowledge into making a high power N/A engine, irregardless of what the piston count is for the engine.

Sure thing riceboy. It's funny though: I'd take an '03 Cobra over my S2000 any day of the week.
And it seems the Cobra impresses the majority of S2ki - you're the exception. Find me a 390hp RWD sports car that sells for $35k or less.
Where is it then?
I thought so.

If you prefer your '03 Cobra over the S2000... that's cool, I nor anyone else has a problem with that.
Oh yeah, there's a '94 Mazda RX7 Turbo (FD3S) that dyno'ed with over 450hp at the wheels at the Battle of the Imports that's being sold in the local paper for $32k, the owner is also a proud owner of a GT2 who races Solo1 that will spank a stock $35k Cobra on the straights, corners or lap time. I didn't mean this to get ugly but if you want to do this, then I'm in.
I will agree that the Japanese manufacturers do a much better job from a quality standpoint than do the US manufactureres but to say that GM is any better than Ford or any other US manufacturer is a stretch. I think we can all agree that Hyper-X is talking out of his a** and we'll just leave it at that.

Over your S2000: No.
Over mine: Yes.

And by the way Alex is my name so it would be my s2000 as well.
So if you said Alex's s2000 then it would be
Alex s2000 yes.
Alex s2000 no.
