I can't believe I did this...

I guess it's all in the launch...

Oh brotha... Then again, if the guy wasn't really into it (in the M3), I guess it's possible. Also, he said they only ran to 60mph or so - that's not much of a race... It would all be in the launch in that case - there's no room for error...

I'd say it's true, but that the M3 wasn't even close to full throttle or else the driver wasn't that good.

uh, sounds fishy. to note, he has a convertible, which adds like a TON (no real power mods were mentioned either)! the part that gets me the most: "...then I missed my 3rd, but caught it immediately, he didn't gain any ground" how could a person not gain on you when you missed a gear? i don't care how quick he thinks he got into 3rd, a miss is a miss and therefore, a slight pause in acceleration. sounds like the m3 was just chillun next to him (which i do sometimes) and pacing him. if that's not the case, then i'd have to say BS too...

What I don't understand is why a Mustang guy would feel the need to come onto an S2000 board to tell us he beat an M3. Where's the connection here? Does anyone else see anything neurotic about this besides me?
