03 M3 Kill!
A Mustang GT beating a M3. Hate to say either you race a really bad novice, or you are full of it. I just helped my friend pick his new M3. I drove it, and later on we did a short race (me in my 911) and we were dead even. A new M3 can do very low 13's, a mustang GT low 14's at best, not even the convertible (closer to high 14's). BTW, I had a 2000 Mustang GT so I know what they are capable of. Short of dropping a SC or turbo in them, no way they come close to a properly (even missing a gear) driven M3.
ooooooooook looks like you guys said a mouthful.
lemme start with why a bunch of forums...because I belong to them, wanted to share my experience.
I could be wrong about the year, don't know much about the new M3, but I do know that it was brandy new. The guys around here have no problem obtaining new shit, see new Benz CLs and CLKs all the time, and i know tthere was a waiting list when I wanted a C! Whatever
Um..nah, you guys are right, it was a short ass race, never said that i could take him in the 1/4.
Yes, he was very much into, but like my man said, there was no room for error. As for me missing 3rd, not gaining ground was inaccurate, he did get some back, but because he spun and missed second, it wasn't enough...
I think if it went a full 1/4, he woulda raped me by at least 3 the way he was coming when he did start to pull me...
No BS here, I'm no troll or teenager that likes to bullsht
Yes, I have a stang with no power adders...but the high 14 crack was either a high altitude person or never saw a 5 spd run. My car was running 14.0s stock....
I now have gears and tires and a couple of other little things that may have netted me a whole 8 hp, but moved to a better place
. At any rate, I drive my ass off, been doing the street thing since some of you were still putting your hand up to use the facilities, lol. This guy could drive too, but not that M3, he straight blew it. I guess you had to be there...c'mon, cut me some slack here, it was a 123 gear race, 800, 900 ft?
I guess it was my mistake sharing this with what I thought were fellow car guys...won't happen again, unless i post a kill about a Civic....
Sorry.

you know....on top of that something just dawned on me. I don't know you people from Adam. Why on Earth do you think I'm going to seek out the S2000 forum just to drop some BS story about something that never happened? Geez, gimme a break, I can't help if it what happened happened. I only posted on 4 of the 6 forums I belong to: Stangnet, ClubRSX, Acura-CL.com and here. I'm a little incensed because I see on some of these forums that you're judged by the car you drive and not the person that you are. I love cars. I started going to these forums to meet more people that love cars and get involved in events, not just Ford. Hell, I'm not even a Ford guy! I just happen to drive one. I answered a lot of questions about this whole M3 thing, which I expected, but this is the only forum where I was actually insulted. I'm appalled and hope that this is not the experience that have to look forward to. I really wanted to get to know more about these amazing little cars, the S2K...

Hey guys, take it easy on this guy.
Looking at his previous posts (even though he's only 3 days on the forums), he seems like a respectful fellow.
So he was ecstatic about his win over a new M3. Who wouldn't be???
Looks like he's perfectly aware that the M3 is a faster car. If he can do 14 seconds flat in a 1/4 and had a perfect launch, while
M3 did not have a good launch, the M3 wouldn't have caught back until 100mph or so, and the race was over well before that...
Reasonable and respectful Mustang owners are hard to come by, let's not chase this one away just yet, allright?

I think you just answered all your own questions. Why would you seek out an S2000 forum where you don't know anyone to tell us a story about a non-S2K race? I mean, if you had a history here as an individual like cravnpup, or 99GT, or whoever...
And as for getting incensed, why would anything said by people you don't know from Adam make you upset? Sounds like you were getting a little touchy over at Stangnet too. Thin skin?
And you have to admit, your story was questionable. Anything can happen on the street, but you can't blame people for calling BS when you beat a car that's a half to full second faster than your car on average.

LOL, history huh? I don't even drive Mustang anymore, but some people here still consider me the resident Mustang guy...
About the race, I have no problem believing that you beat an M3. Heck I could probably beat a viper for the first 800 feet if he spun really bad off the line, but I surely wouldn't brag about it on 6 different forums...
